Nine people were killed in Ohio Sunday morning less than 24 hours after over a dozen were killed in a shooting incident in El Paso Tx.
According to a press conference given by Dayton Mayor Nan Whaley, at least 26 others were injured, but no details about the victims were released.
Dayton police tweeted at about 1 a.m. Sunday morning that an active shooter situation was ongoing in the city’s historic district.
“I’m heartbroken,” Whaley tweeted around 6 a.m. Sunday, thanking first responders for their efforts.
Whaley credited the police response saying that hundreds of people could be dead if police weren't so quick to stop the shooter.
