Transferring as a quadriplegic can be difficult in the early stages after a spinal cord injury. Learning how to transfer independently is an important task to master. This is a video of me transferring from my bed to my power wheelchair. I find it effective to push off of my elbows, instead of having my arms extended.
I have been a C5, C6, C7 Complete Quadriplegic (paralysis of all four limbs) with little tricep function since January 19, 2015. I hope this video helps you!
